The £35 million sports centre on Manor Park has an exciting and imaginative design that displays sensitive awareness of the environment and exceptional standards of sustainability.
Opened in April 2010 this state-of-the-art sporting venue contains world class sports facilities and will be one of the very best in the South East.
Details of Works:
An eight-lane, 50m pool
Three sports halls for badminton, basketball, volleyball, netball and more
Eight glass-backed squash courts including two exhibition courts
120-station fitness club
Eight floodlit tennis courts
Two floodlit artificial turf pitches for football and hockey & eight other grass pitches
Café and bar
DES carried out the complete electrical installation including:
A comprehensive audio & visual system allowing local control to areas for multiple media sources.
A fully integrated building management system allowing for computer access monitor and control of electrical and heating ventilation systems.
CAT 6 cabling data infrastructure & fibre optic CCTV through the entire complex.
Complete lighting solution (including remotely monitored emergency lighting).
