Overview
GYMBOX is a fitness chain with a difference.
This no-holds-barred, anything goes, diva dancing, combat training style of fitness has become very popular. DES has delivered a full electrical package within three of the four Gybox sites, in Covent Garden, Holborn and Westfield.
With an Olympic size boxing ring, 70 state-of-the-art cardio machines, indoor sprint track, London’s largest free weights area, cutting edge nightclub interiors and live DJs Gymbox is fast establishing itself as highly distinctive London based health club business.
Works
The second Gymbox project presented many and varied challenges. The former basement multi-level cinema in the heart of Covent Garden enhanced the urban theme Gymbox delivered in the first project on High Holborn.
Working closely with Lee Prince of Lighting and Design, the lighting design has been acclaimed in the health and fitness press.
The full electrical installation, voice & data, fire alarm & CCTV systems were part of the DES package.
